A Chicago-based mental health organization hosts collective talk social and fundraiser for disadvantaged immigrant individuals and families
CHICAGO, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—Salud Chicago’s “Terapia for Immigrants” is a mental wellness social and fundraiser that seeks to unify immigrant families impacted by immigration-related violence and displacement. The event includes a presentation followed by facilitated discussions led by behavioral health professionals.
In today’s tumultuous era for immigrants, the combined stress and trauma that comes with seeking freedom leaves mental health severely neglected. However, Salud seeks to create a safe haven for immigrants and Latin communities who navigate asylum trauma without surrendering their cultural identity or emotional well-being, while strengthening community bonds.

“We host a ‘Te Veo’, or ‘I see you’ event to promote the wellness, to promote people functioning at their optimal ”—Yara Artis, Psychologist and Trauma Expert
The fundraiser’s goal proceeds of $50,000 will support mutual aid to immigrant families in need, provide assistance to those disadvantaged by ICE, and any other immigration activity that brought harm to residents. Event info will be below.
