Hello all! I’m Ifaseyi (Ee-fah-SHEY-Yee) Patton, a student and writer interested in the relationship between health, behavior, and vast lived experience. My work focuses on how everyday environments, our media, and broader systems shape the way we think, feel, and move through the world.
This space includes feature writing, research-based work, and personal perspective. Some pieces take a closer look at the smallest, everyday observations, while others engage in broader discussions that impact how we understand health, culture, and identity.
I study Integrated Health Sciences and Applied Psychology, and work as a research assistant/mentee in the M. Roitman neuroscience lab, where I apply my skills directly within research processes and scientific inquiry.
I’m continuing to develop my voice and approach, using writing as a way to seek answers to larger questions, interpret what I observe, and communicate these insights in a way that encourages closer awareness to factors we often overlook.
When I’m not writing, I can be found with my beloved maltipoo, exploring the city, playing my violin, catching a new show or film, drawing, or curled up with a hopefully good book.
